Yuansheng Bathhouse

In the 1980s, China underwent an extraordinary transformation that seemed almost fictional – a nationwide privatization that swiftly impacted the lives of billions of people. Go To Sea is a retro-style pixel game that follows the journey of Xiaoliu, a high school student living in an industrial Chinese city during this pivotal historical period. Upon waking up after the sweeping privatization, Xiaoliu discovers the city's inhabitants have mysteriously vanished. He eventually stumbles upon a local bathhouse and takes a temporary job as a back scrubber. While working there, he meets several patrons who attempt to help him understand the astonishing events and guide him in deciding how to navigate the aftermath.
